About Destiny

Hello! My name is Destiny and I am currently a student at Fordham University in Lincoln Center. I have worked at a summer camp as a counselor for three years with the YMCA, working with kids ages 5-14. My fourth year I was on the Leadership Team and was on call for emergencies, major conflicts, and working one-on-one with the kids as well. I have gone through CPR, First Aid, Active Shooter, and Child Abuse Prevention training each year I have worked at camp. We are also required to go through 30 hours of in person training on how to create and run fun activities, correctly discipline and communicate with parents, and be as involved in each child's life as we can. All of that being said, I keep going back because I really love working with children and being able to help them grow in whatever way I can. I would love to have the chance to get to know your kids and hopefully free up some time in your schedule!
