About Destinee

Hi there! My name is Destinee, and I'm a sophomore at UCLA with a passion for creating supportive environments for kids. Over the past two years, I've had the opportunity to work with two families, caring for up to four children at a time. Growing up, I watched my nephew's ABA therapist guide him through various activities, and it's those techniques that have shaped the way I approach caring for children, especially those with special needs. Since the on-campus childcare centers at UCLA are currently full, I wanted to offer my services through Care. com. I have also gained experience as a camp counselor for the past two summers, where I organized arts and crafts, board games, and outdoor activities. As an avid reader, I would love to help inspire a love for reading within the next generation! Childhood is a formative time, and I'm eager to work alongside parents to help create a loving, engaging, and safe environment for children.
