About Destinee

Since I was a teen, I've found myself in caregiving roles- whether I was reading stories to my grandma's preschool class or babysitting on weekends, I've always naturally gravitated towards younger children! I started my nannying career in 2019 caring for a 10-month-old, and I have been enjoying the journey. I have experience working with multiple families ranging in age from about 5 months to 12 years. I am most passionate about working with younger children, and I am currently seeking positions working with 0-5-year-olds. Throughout my career, I've garnered methods to support the emotional, physical, cognitive, and spatial growth necessary for development. In other words, I am able to recognize common situations that arise in a day in the life of a toddler and take a systematic approach. I received my B. A in English, Creative Writing because a lifelong goal is to become a children's book author. I am in the process of recertification for CPR and First Aid.
