About Dessa

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Dessa. She handles our three-year-old’s endless creativity with so much patience and ease, and somehow turns every big imaginative idea into something fun instead of overwhelming. She is also incredible with our 4-week-old—gentle, confident, and completely comfortable in those early newborn moments that can feel so delicate. On top of that, she navigates our very protective German Shepherd like a pro and never seems fazed by the chaos of our household. She’s down for absolutely anything—whether that’s picking up cat poop, pulling weeds, tidying up whatever needs doing, or jumping into whatever task the day throws at her. She’s a champ. What stands out most is how she anticipates needs without ever needing direction. Meals are thoughtfully prepared and genuinely delicious, even with minimal guidance, and she keeps the laundry and household rhythm moving without anything ever falling behind. Honestly, I call her my “stand-in husband who listens” (said very affectionately and with a lot of humor 😂) because she just shows up, gets things done, and actually hears what’s needed in the moment. She brings calm, capability, and consistency into our home in a way that makes everything feel more manageable. We feel incredibly lucky to have her.
