Hello! My name is Despina, I'm 25 and I've worked as a caregiver since I was 15, but I've always has a soft and true heart for the handicapped. I have so much love and patience for those who need some more help and in my last job, I was a live-in for an little 7yo girl who has cerebral palsy. In less than a year, I learned how to communicate with her even though she is non-verbal. With her, I learned how to use a G-tube, I would do a feeding cycle throughout the night and stay next to her to make sure the cords didn't get wrapped around her. I would change diapers, play with her at the park, bring her to her school and speech, basically assist her living.. I loved it! Unfortunately, I moved across the country to be with family and am now looking for another job with meaning. I have a certain kind of heart where working with special needed children is easy, I love making a difference and helping them feel comfortable, safe& adored. I have many references who will vouch for me
