About Desmond

I can't say enough wonderful things about Desmond. My grandmother was extremely apprehensive about going out with a caregiver. She insisted she could do everything on her own and really didn't think she needed any assistance. When she came home, she was like a different person. She had a great time, genuinely enjoyed the conversation, and was smiling as she told me about her day. While I don't know exactly what was said during their time together, I do know that Desmond helped her understand something our family has struggled to explain for a long time. Accepting help does not mean giving up your independence. For the first time, she acknowledged that it is okay to have someone there to help her get around. That conversation alone was priceless and has lifted such a weight off our family's shoulders. Desmond treated my grandmother with kindness, patience, dignity, and respect. He did not just provide transportation or companionship. He gave her confidence and helped her see that accepting support is a strength, not a weakness. We are incredibly grateful and cannot recommend him highly enough.
