Experience: 10 yrs
I am an experienced educator working on my PhD in mathematics education at IU. I specialize in elementary. I am not a traditional tutor that does homework help or direct concept tutoring. I evaluate children to determine how they understand number and how that compares to the expectation at their grade level. From there I work on a plan to help support them in developing strategies to do the age level curriculum based on their understanding of number. This unique way of approaching math tutoring is a result of years of experience and PhD level coursework which is why my hourly rate is so high.

We were so lucky to have found Desi to watch our son over summer break this past year. Each morning she outlined her plans for the day and always made sure to clarify that each activity or meal plan fit with our preferences.
