Hello! I am finishing up my 26th year as a special educator. I hold both a bachelor's and master's degree in special education with a concentration in multiple and severe disabilities. I have taught preschool through college aged students. My students would describe me as fun, supportive, and loving and might complain a tiny bit about my high expectations since I always encourage them to push themselves! Self determination and agency is THE goal and increasing functional communication is my passion. At my high school I am the advisor of two clubs that foster relationships between neurodivergent and neurotypical peers and I love to witness the moment when teenagers realize that we are more alike than we are different.
