About Denise

Currently available for part-time work starting Sept. 2026. I am a former center-based childcare worker and currently mom of 2 teens. For over 7 years I worked in center-based childcare with infants through school-age children. I have also worked as a nanny, including one family for 3 years and one-and-a-half years for another family. As a homeschooling parent, I am familiar with many curricula and am able to help with schoolwork. I am comfortable with baby-wearing, cloth diapering, and teaching children with special needs and food allergies. With previous families, we have taken trips to pick berries, hike trails and explore nature, attend kids concerts and puppet shows, participate in weekly library storytimes, and visited OMSI, the zoo, and the pumpkin patch. I have also assisted with 4-H clubs and scouts as a leader. I have a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on Developmental Psychology from Oregon State University. And I have been CPR/first aid certified.
