I am a seasoned mom with 3 grown children. I have spent most of my years using my Early Childhood Degree providing early childhood care for families in large daycare centers, as well as my own home daycare. For the past 10 years I have taken on a new role as a Postpartum Doula. I am available to offer assistance to new moms and dads through this very trying time when coming home from the hospital with your newborn. With years of experience, and a multitude of resources, I can help gently guide you into parenthood. With an extra set of hands, I can take some of the worry out of how to comfortably take care of yourself and your baby... before and after you give birth. I can provide you with resources and support in all areas of Postpartum and Newborn Care. There is so much to think about when becoming new parents! Denise was my postpartum doula and I highly recommend her care! Thanks to her support, I was able to rest after birth, refresh newborn care tips, and more importantly learn from her the transition from 1 to 2 kids. She is knowledgeable, trustworthy and great with babies and toddlers. 

Denise was incredible in providing care for my infant and for myself postpartum. She was knowledgeable, resourceful and always warm and kind. We hadn’t gotten a doula with our first child because we had family coming to help but with our second child we thought the extra hands would be helpful. Even with our family staying the difference in having Denise was immeasurable. Her help made the really difficult first few months so much easier and brighter. She was amazing with my baby and my toddler loved her. She was a daycare provider for many years so her knowledge of developmental milestones and infant and toddler behavior was so helpful. I really enjoyed her company and felt safe and supported through my postpartum journey. I hope to keep her in our lives as much as possible. 

Denise was phenomenal and we are so grateful to have recently had the opportunity to have Denise help us in transitioning into our new roles as parents with our then 8-week old son. We are first-time parents and neither of us had family nearby. There is so much to learn in navigating new motherhood (while recovering), and it was a godsend to us to have Denise to guide us as a postpartum doula! She is a professional who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in early childhood development and care. We met Denise when our son was 8 weeks (we wish we had met her earlier!), and she helped us to develop a routine/cycle for him to address nursing/feeding needs, naps/sleeping, as well as tummy time and many other areas of care. (And she also helped us to get much needed sleep and self care in those early days!) Our baby has since been happier and has slept markedly better at night, and importantly we feel much more confident in being able to care for him having had her guidance. We would so highly recommend Denise, and if you have the opportunity to work with her, you are extremely lucky!

Denise is absolutely incredible. She was a gift for our family! She helped us with childcare for our son when he was a few months old, and occasionally helped with our 2.5yr old daughter as well. Due to her tremendous experience as a post partum doula as well as decades of childcare work, she brought a huge amount of confidence, understanding, and compassion into her work. She instilled fabulous habits in our baby that have made him an easier and happier baby (like the ability to go down awake/self soothe). She felt like an immediate friend and member of our greater family. I'm so grateful to have met such an incredible person and a professional who  loves what she does. The first day she started I was so exhausted, didn't know what was sleep anymore. Denise not only took care of my daughter, she also took care of me, I felt confident with her, she taught me so much, I wish she could stay longer, but she has other families that needs her, that is actually her words, otherwise I would keep her! She became a friend and we already miss her! If you get a chance to have Denise working with you, you are so fortunate, we are already booking her for our second child. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an incredible postpartum Douala, she will make your life easier!

Denise was spectacular. She comforted, fed, and slept our colicky newborn boy with ease. Not only that but she taught us about cues and different methods for handling fussy babies. We were only visiting town for a short while but we will definitely rehire her when we are back. 11/10.

Denise is a gem! She is so kind. She has been an amazing resource as a new mom. I consulted with her about sleep, feeding, postpartum issues, and so much more. I trust her completely with my infant. My baby was so happy to see Denise and thrived in her care. I only have an intermittent need for childcare, otherwise I would hire Denise full time! She is amazing and any family would be lucky to hire her.

Denise is a gift pure and simple. I don't know how our young family could have survived without her warm, creative and expert guidance. I would say she brought a new dimension to our family; a warmth and sense of joy that is reflected in our adult children to this day. She is a rare and wonderful person. Denise was one of the best things that ever happened to us as young parents. She fit seamlessly into our family, loved our children with all her heart, read to them, taught them, and nurtured them. She is an expert in her field and offered incredibly helpful advice regarding lactation and sleep. She is the only person who got my children to take a bottle. She folded laundry, emptied the dishwasher, made lunches. She brought books to read and crafts to do. She soothed and comforted and got them to nap. She was a friend with a listening ear and when you are a mom at home all alone that is so important. We moved out of state 2 1/2 years ago and still wish we could have brought Denise with us. She is one of the kindest people we know and was so helpful to our family. We love her and couldn't recommend her more!

I've known Denise for 11 years. She took care of my older 2 children when she had a home daycare. She assisted me in my home with lactation consults when my 3rd was born. She is kind, caring, compassionate and loved them like her own. I never had a worry in the world when my kids were in her care. She has the patience of a saint and is a wonderful mother. She has become a wonderful friend and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. You are missing out if you pass her by.

I could not imagine a more responsible or loving  person to care for my daughter. She was and is  amazing. My daughter is now 15 and keeps in touch with her to this day. 
I know for me it was very difficult to think of someone else caring for my daughter, but after the first day I felt so relieved I had made the right choice.
