After working as a certified professional secretary and administrative assistant for over 20 years in Jamaica 
I came to the US and started working as a caregiver in private duty nursing over 24 years. To say my first assignment was quite an experience is an understatement, but then I realized that I found my niche- caring for persons who are no longer able to effectively take care of themselves. 
Caregiving and companion care are my 'God-given' gifts. 

I am also a registered medical assistant and certified CPR. I love what I do, and don't think of it as just a job but a great service to humanity. I have a great sense of humor and fun to work with.

Denise and Ann were amazing. They provided incredible care to our entire family when my Mom got sick and needed constant care. They not only took care of our Mom, but made sure that our Dad was taken care of as well even though they were really there for our Mom. They checked in regularly with those of us that were out of state and provided invaluable peace of mind. Denise and Ann were able to walk the fine line of making sure they were doing their job as well as maintaining our parents dignity and privacy. They made an incredibly difficult time in our lives easier with their compassion, attentiveness to detail and love. Denise and Ann still regularly check in on our Dad to see how he is doing. We know he appreciates it and so do we. Words can’t fully express our gratitude for the care they gave to our family during of our most difficult and painful time. 

Denise is very loving, and thoughtful. My father, who doesn’t trust very easily, just loves Denise. She is good at medical issues and at dealing with grief. She is wonderful.

Denise was such a loving and caring individual. She became a family member taking care of our dad who was suffering from Alzheimer's.  She is extremely trustworthy and honest. Positive attitude and never negative. She was someone that became a member of the family and will be terribly missed. Mr. Greg loved you!!!

Denise worked for my mother for about a year, mainly night shifts. She was very dependable and made certain that, if she was going to be out, that we'd have someone else cover her shifts. Denise was always friendly and had a great smile and warm laugh to brighten everyone's day. She's positive and kind and very caring. We only stopped working together because my mother moved into assisted living so we didn't need home care anymore. Denise helped my mother dress for bed and complete her evening toilet as well as companionship and general tidying. She was always patient and gentle in this, which was important because my mother was in pain and moved very slowly.

Denise is simply amazing!  She has the biggest heart and is by far the most caring individual I know.   If I could give more hearts I would!

Denise is joy personified!  She is always smiling and has a positive attitude. She will brighten even the darkest of days. i would recommend her in a heartbeat! She is very reliable and professional.

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Ms. Denise J. We have known Denise on a professional and personal level for over the past  8 years. Denise was hired in May 2006 to care for my very disabled father. In November 2005, our father suffered a massive embolic stroke which resulted in left sided paralysis (hemiplegia) and dysphagia. As a result, our father was unable to walk, groom or dress himself. He was unable to use the toilet or carry out any of his activities of daily living independently. Denise was one of four private duty nursing assistants who attended to my father's every need with unmatched professionalism, compassion, care, respect and devotion. Despite my father's significant physical limitations, he was completely cognizant and verbal and able to enjoy his relationships with my mother, brother, his granddaughter and son-in-law as well as his friends. He forged a very special relationship with Denise. He, as well as my mother, brother and I knew that we could rely on Denise to give my father the best care possible.
     Because of my father's significant limitations, he was unable to rotate or reposition his own body. Therefore, he required around the clock care. Denise worked mostly the night shift but also worked several day shifts. During these nearly 8 1/2 years, my father never developed a decubitus ulcer, which was extremely important for all of us, but especially for me since I am a dermatologist. The skin care that Denise provided my dad was excellent. Furthermore, Denise is reliable and came to work even when circumstances at home were difficult to leave. Denise has a solid fund of medical knowledge and learns very quickly.  She is very comfortable with all of the aspects of patient care. 
     In the last 6 months, my father's medical condition began to decline. He became an even more complicated patient. Denise handled these complications and challenges with confidence and without complaints. 
     My father passed away on June 2, 2014. I would rehire Denise immediately for any of our family members if such a need would arise. Therefore, I give Denise my highest recommendation without any reservation. You can be certain that she will be an asset to any patient entrusted in her care.
