About Denise

I'm a calm, patient caregiver and mother of special-needs children. Through parenting and collaboration with occupational, speech, and special education therapists, I've gained hands-on experience supporting children with diverse developmental needs. I've completed Virginia's required childcare training, passed all state background checks, and take pride in creating a safe, nurturing environment where each child can thrive. Most recently, I cared for a woman with late-stage dementia, providing full-time support from 3 p.m. Fridays to 3 p.m. Sundays. That experience strengthened my ability to stay calm, compassionate, and consistent under pressure. Ideally, I'm seeking a similar weekend schedule but am available from 10 a.m. Thursday through Sunday evening and for a few hours most weekdays. I'm also open to providing additional childcare hours in my home with my own children present.
