About Denise

I'd describe my personality as kind, friendly, down to earth. I like tutoring because it's incredibly fulfilling to see a child learn and grow, in their own understanding and knowledge, but also with self confidence and self assurance as they master various skills and capacities. I started tutoring as a nanny many years ago. Homework help was always part of my repertoire. In my spare time, I like to be outdoors, hiking, going to the beach, having coffee with friends + yoga and meditation. One thing you should know about me is I'm extremely patient and gentle, even when kids are struggling or having a hard time. My skills include reading and language assistance, writing, spelling and math.
