About Denasia

Hi! My name is Denasia, and I recently graduated from Delaware State University with my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Special Education. I have experience working with children in preschool and elementary classrooms through student teaching, substitute teaching, and tutoring. Most recently, I completed my student teaching placement in a 1st grade classroom, where I supported students in reading, writing, phonics, and math. I especially love teaching phonics and helping children learn how to read with confidence. I enjoy making learning fun, engaging, and encouraging while helping students strengthen foundational reading skills. My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and hands on, and I love celebrating children's growth and progress along the way. Families would describe me as dependable, caring, and easy to communicate with. My goal is to create a safe and positive learning environment where every child feels supported and successful.
