About Dena

I found my passion for taking care of the elderly through a 4 year journey with my mother and dementia. Saddest day of my life wasn't when she passed it was the day she didn't know who I was. The look on her face of confusion and fear. After her passing, I got the pleasure of caring for a stroke survivor, 24/7. Both her and my mom were very stubborn, disliked being told what to do, and were a challenge for most people. God blessed me with the ability to understand their personalities and adjust to them. I take caring for the ones who can't care for themselves, very serious. I respect each person's illness by getting as much information as possible, learn what needs to be done to help them along their journey, to know what to watch for and what to do when things are advancing/changing. I respect their likes and dislikes and do all I can to keep everyone calm, comfortable, and clean. No matter if things are calm or chaotic the one thing ALWAYS, each is my #1 priority. HOME and SAFE!
