About Demetria

Cultivating a student's confidence is the most rewarding part of my three years of tutoring experience. I empower elementary students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ensuring they succeed far beyond the classroom. My approach relies on open communication to identify your child's unique learning style, which allows me to adapt my methods effectively. I keep students engaged by celebrating small successes and providing consistent positive reinforcement, especially when tackling challenging concepts in math, English, or test preparation. Because I have experience supporting students with special education needs, I am well-equipped to foster a collaborative environment built on trust. I am happy to travel to your home for sessions and am very comfortable working around pets. I truly look forward to partnering with your family to help your child reach their full potential.
