About Delaney

I'm a master's grad with a long history in childcare! I worked for 7 years at a summer recreation program with ages 2-15. I've also worked as a daycare teacher and private nanny with infants and toddlers for the past 6 years. Now, I'm a Director Assistant at a childcare center! I'm passionate about helping kids learn and develop vital social/emotional skills while also making space for them to grow into their own personalities. I also love teaching! I've developed weekly themes and coordinated relevant lessons and activities. I'm big on language skills, so alongside English, I alternated each day between teaching relevant vocabulary in Spanish or American Sign Language. I have a master's degree in information and library science, with a focus on youth and multiculturalism. I love using books and media to help kids develop empathy and understanding. P. S. I'm also a huge animal lover and have a German Shepherd!
