About Delana

Hello! My names is Delana, and I'm a licensed teacher in Washington state with over 8 years of experience working in both general and special education settings. I've had the pleasure of supporting students from kindergarten through 8th grade (ages 5-14), and I currently teach elementary general education at a charter school in Tacoma. I'm passionate about creating a positive, supportive environment for children to learn, grow, and thrive. I offer support in a variety of content areas, including reading and literacy skills, foundational math, kindergarten readiness, and individualized support aligned with IEP goals. My approach is tailored to meet each child's unique learning style and needs. During the summer, my schedule is flexible, and during the school year, I'm available from 4:30-7:00 p.m. on weekdays, with some availability on weekends. I look forward to connecting with families who are looking for reliable, experienced support!
