About Deitra

Working with children with dyslexia is my passion. With over 21 years in education and 8 years working with children with dyslexia, I have experienced first-hand the challenges in learning to read. I remember as a second grade classroom teacher being told to put grade level text in front of students who clearly could not read on grade level. Fast-forward to becoming a well-trained dyslexia therapist. I finally "get to" help children in small groups and 1:1. It's a passion and so rewarding for children, families, and myself.
