About Deisy

Im looking for a job that believes in a Montessori-inspired approach that encourages children to be independent, curious, and capable. I like giving children opportunities to explore and learn while providing safety, guidance, structure, and support when they need it. I have worked with many families throughout New York City through both my childcare and education experience. In my work with the NYC Department of Education, I regularly interact with students, parents, and families from a variety of backgrounds. My background in psychology and education has given me a strong understanding of child development. I am fluent in English, American Sign Language (ASL), and Spanish, and conversational in French. I enjoy creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, explore, and have fun.
