About Deirdre

I like caring for seniors because it reminds of my mom and the progress she was able to make when she got the help she needed as a stroke survivor. When my mom experienced a stroke in 2021, I became her full-time caregiver at 16 through IHSS and was pulled out of school. My mother was lucky to have me, but not everyone had that ability to have help. I want to support others the best I can. I started caring for seniors when my mother's stroke meant she needed help in ways that no one knew how to support in my circle. She needed more support than just picking up her medication and taking her to appointments, she needed reminders to laugh, find joy inside of her, and to be taken out of the house to experience the world.
