About Deeya

I've been around kids for as long as I can remember. I started with watching my own brother when I was 8 and he was 5, when both my parents would be busy. Then, as a teenager, I was the designated babysitter to the kids of my cousins. In our large family, there were at least 15. Lastly, I was paid babysitting for family friends and neighbors during the rest of my high school and college years. I have cared for all ranges of ages from infants to teenagers. My most valuable moment was when I was watching three siblings under five during a power outage, and they were terrified. I turned it into a fun camping night with flashlights and making s'mores. That moment really stuck with me because it reminded me how much I enjoy keeping kids entertained and calm, even when things don't go as planned. I'm patient, quickthinking, and genuinely love being around kids!
