About Debra

I am new to this app/site but a very experienced teacher and tutor. For the past 15 years, I've enjoyed helping students unlock their full potential. With a graduate degree and as a certified teacher, I create personalized support plans to help students achieve their goals. I vary my teaching strategies, such as visual aids and hands-on activities, and break down complex problems into manageable steps to build momentum. Regular parental check-ins are important to me, since communication builds trust and creates a collaborative environment. I celebrate small successes and provide positive reinforcement. Seeing a student's confidence grow as they master new skills is the most rewarding aspect of being a tutor. I would love to use my skills to help your student in math and science at the elementary level.
