About Debra

I have been a pet owner and lover all of my life. Although primarily connected with dogs, I have owned cats, birds, and turtles. I currently have three pets... two dogs and one turtle. I acquired one dog via fostering her and then adopting her. The other dog was garnered via another pet lover who had been fostering him. We purchased our turtle at a pet store as we also need to purchase all the equipment with him and we wanted our young son to experience getting this turtle for him. In addition to dogs I have "owned", I have fostered and found homes for over 20 individual rescue dogs (via rescue sites or wandering animals who are lost) throughout my life. This is extremely rewarding and I hope to continue doing this. I have pictures of all these dogs in a scrapbook I keep! More about me: My husband and I have been married 25 years and we have an 8-year-old son (with special needs) in third grade. We are looking to make some income from pet sitting on a part time basis so that it can at perhaps become a primary job for me. My husband is a local business professional. I understand the commitment pet sitting requires, I am aware of putting your pet needs first, and on an extremely punctual basis.
