Debbie has been a care partner for my mother for the last year. We feel so lucky to have found her! My mother has Alzheimer’s and Debbie understands all of the dimensions of the disease. My mom and Debbie have formed a wonderful bond. Debbie sees and treats her as a unique individual, not just a client she helps take care of. To give you a sense of the level of care Debbie provides, she recognized that shopping was my mother’s favorite activity and used it to build their connection. Debbie “runs a boutique” in our home. I have overheard them on numerous occasions looking at the “new inventory”, “the clothes on sale this week” and discussing which outfits and accessories would work best together. To hear them talking and laughing has brought tears to my eyes on more than one occasion. Debbie’s ability to join my mother’s reality has been a truly remarkable gift. Any family who is looking for quality care, compassion, expertise, patience, and comfort for a loved one would be fortunate to have her!
