Hi! I am a licensed Virginia teacher and former special education teacher passionate about helping students build confidence, independence, and a love of learning. As an educational consultant, I provide individualized reading instruction, academic support, and homeschool instruction. I work with both homeschool students and children attending traditional schools, tailoring instruction to their unique needs. I have experience with students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, slow processing speed, emotional/behavioral challenges, and intellectual disabilities. I am trained in evidence-based structured literacy, including Orton-Gillingham-aligned approaches. I hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Special Education. I also support families with IEPs, 504 plans, evaluations, and school collaboration. Whether your child needs homeschool instruction, reading support, academic help, or assistance with learning challenges, I would love to help your child thrive!
Deborah has been a tutor for our daughter who has Downs syndrome for several months now and honestly I wish we had started this process a long time ago. She has great boundaries and challenges her while also being so patient and understanding. She is always on time and we saw progress very quickly after their time together. We would recommend her for anyone.
