I am upbeat, confident, calm and steady. A thermostat rather than thermometer. As a child I wanted to be a mother, a teacher, a nurse. I'm a nurturing person; teaching and explaining as I go is second nature. I've been working with children since age 13. I garden, hike, camp, cook & sew for fun. I'm a stickler for safely: car seats, safe sleep, sunscreen, etc. My skills include teaching, planning, flexibility, caring and understanding. I love seeing children learn, whether a baby rolling over for the first time, or a preschooler mastering a simple puzzle, or discovering something through nature. That moment when the child's face lights up with 'I did it' is priceless! I've raised 3 sons; now I'm Grandma to 4 grand children. For me, nannying is the job that isn't 'work'. I love every minute of it. My degree is in education and psychology. I have a FT nanny job during the week, and I'm only available for select evenings and weekends.
