About Deborah

I'm a mom of four adult children and a former art teacher who has taught elementary education through high school. This past year I started working as nanny for a newborn and later two elementary age children. With over 30 years of experience teaching and caring for children, I create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive. This includes reading, doing art projects and enjoying outdoor play. Clear communication is vital, so I keep parents informed about their child's day or any issues that arise. I can provide meals, do light housekeeping or help with homework if needed. In addition, I've completed some graduate-level coursework in fine art, offering classes intermittently. My combined experience of parenting, teaching and being a nanny has given me what is necessary to be a caregiver.
