Personal Statement: Why I love being a nanny: For as long as I can remember I have loved taking care of children. As early as 16 years of age I began babysitting in my neighborhood. Childhood is a wonderful period of people's lives. Filled with wonder and new discoveries. Anyone who works with children knows the joys of helping them find themselves; the pride in being a part of the process of raising a child, and the simple fun of play. But for me what makes being a nanny unique is that I can interact with the whole family, which can have deeper and more lasting benefits than a teacher or a coach. I have over 25 years of experience helping raise children from newborns to teenagers. I have benefited from these relationships in a way that I cannot explain in a just a few sentences.
