About Deborah

Learning should be an exciting journey! I am passionate about building confidence and a genuine love for learning in my students. In my extensive experience a tutor, teacher's aid, and life coach, I've empowered students to gamify their motivation as well as develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I actively listen and observe nonverbal cues to understand individual learning styles, adapting my teaching with outside-the-box explanations and exercises. I connect challenging topics to real-world examples, relating to students' hobbies and fun activities that are already motivating and rewarding. Seeing a student's confidence grow is the most rewarding aspect of tutoring. My creative explanations have even been saved and reused by high school teachers and college professors. I am eager to share my passion for Math, English, Special Education, Study Skills, and History with you.
