About Deborah

Hi! I am a pediatric RN with 36 years of clinical experience and a nursing professor for 16 years. I provide one-on-one tutoring for RN and LVN students, as well as mentorship for nurses pursuing advanced degrees. I help students understand the reasoning behind exam questions, not just memorize answers. My teaching areas include fundamentals, med-surg, pediatrics, OB/maternal-newborn, psychiatric nursing, and pharmacology, with strong focus on prioritization and clinical judgment. My style is calm, patient, and encouraging. I create a supportive, judgment-free environment where concepts are broken down clearly using real-world examples to build confidence and understanding.
