Loving, experienced Grandma for rent. I have worked with families and their children for the past 10 years in both group and home settings. I specialize in infant/toddler care and have worked in the Children Center's at both UCSB and SBCC. My background includes an AA in Early Childhood Education with an emphases on infant/toddler development, CPR Certification, and California Child Development Permit.

Absolutely amazing experience! Debby took great care of our 7 month old. I felt very comfortable leaving my precious child with her for extended periods of time. She was communicative, punctual, knowledgeable, and extremely caring. I would use her again! Thank you!!!!

Debby has been watching our 3-year-old son intermittently over the last year. I have waited so long to write a review because words do not do her justice. 

I don't know who loves her more, my son...or me. To name a few of her great qualities; she is a great communicator, trustworthy, good-nature, and reliable. 

I am a healthcare provider and have found her background in childhood development to be reassuring and educational for me as well. This is an added bonus that makes choosing another caregiver a nearly impossible task. 

We live far from family and Debby is the next best thing to having a family member in town, we are so happy to have met her and recommend her to anyone looking for childcare. 

We hired Debby to watch our 2 year old son and his 6 year old friend while we were on vacation in Solvang. Debby was punctual, warm and trustworthy and we felt very secure while she watched the children. Would definitely hire her again when we're back in town.

We were traveling from San Francisco to Solvang for a wedding, and we needed someone to watch our 22 month old boy for the night. We feel so fortunate to have found Debby. She was on time, professional, and great with our son. She even brought some of her own toys, and that really helped break the ice between Debby and our little one. She was super easy to communicate with as well. She kept us up to date regarding how our son was doing while we were gone, and when we got back, she gave us a full summary. If we find ourselves in Solvang again and need a sitter for the night, we'll give Debby a call!

Debby was exceptional! Very trustworthy and followed all of our instructions for our 4 month old. She's got a natural gift for babies and I highly recommend her.

She was great.  We had a wedding in Solvang, and Debby took care of our 3 month daughter and 3.5 year old son.  She showed up on time, with toys, and was well prepared.  I would absolutely ask her to care for our children the next time we are in town.  She was great!

We hired Debby to help take care of our 6 month old while we were in town for a wedding. After flying across the country from DC, I was anxious about leaving our little girl after so many travels. The minute we met Debby I knew we had nothing to worry about. She is warm, responsible, loving, and trustworthy. She is excellent with babies and very confident. She respected my wishes to coordinate nursing our daughter during a wedding reception and then putting her down for the night. I felt very comfortable leaving our daughter with her, and was able to enjoy two evenings knowing she was well taken care of. We chose Debby to watch our 10-month old because of her experience with infants and with families on vacation. Debby loves babies and it shows! As first time parents (and first time hiring a sitter) Debby alleviated a lot of our concerns. Debby is responsible and communicative; we talked by phone twice before our vacation and she touched base with us the day prior to confirm our appointment. She did an excellent job getting our 10-month down for the night. We recommend Debby for families with infants and families on vacation.

Debby took care of our 7 month-old twin babies while we were at a conference in Buellton, CA. She was fantastic. She was completely reliable and dependable. Easy to talk to, very personable by phone and when you meet her in person. The babies loved her. She obviously loves babies. They slept when they needed to sleep, were fed right on schedule. They were happy playing with her. She followed instructions to the letter. It was a huge relief to us. She has been in the community for 20 years, so she is well known by many people. We definitely recommend if you are traveling to that area and need some childcare. We will use her again and again.

We hired Debby to take care of our 3 year old (over a span of 5 days) while we were on vacation in Solvang. She was amazing! Debby is very personable, reliable, trustworthy and she was engaging and playful with R. She asked questions and followed every bit of direction we gave her regarding R.'s care. My other kids loved her too! We were very lucky to have found her and she helped make our vacation much more relaxing. :)

Debby is awesome!  She has watched my 2 year old grandson countless times and he loves her!  She truly cares about his well being, happiness and health.  She not only plays with him, but teaches him at the same time.  She is not a typical babysitter that sits around while the child does his/her own thing - she interacts with him 100% of the time.  I highly recommend Debby!!
