I am a nanny, experienced with infants and toddlers. I also have over 10 years experience as a preschool/kindergarten teacher, as well as, a summer counselor for children 4-12 years of age.

Ms. Debbie was absolutely amazing to work with and such a blessing for our son to be able to learn from. She created a calm, peaceful environment for our son (who can be a handful) with such ease, it was amazing! Her experience as a kindergarten teacher really shined through which accelerated his preparation for pre-school. She was always flexible with our schedule changes, and I could leave the house knowing he was in the best care. We couldn&#39;t possibly recommend Ms. Debbie more highly!

Our baby girl was just 11 weeks old when Debbie started with our family. She wasn't with us long. At no fault of her own, we had a change in circumstances with our careers. We are 1st time parents and had so much anxiety and fear about leaving our little girl. Our daughter LOVED Debbie in no time. She was gentle, sweet, and kind. She adapts to your little ones' needs. We like to let our baby dictate her own day, and Debbie played right along. Our baby is so excited to see her every morning, she smiles,coos and is so joyed when Debbie walks in. Our dog loved Debbie so much also, and our dog is usually so mopey if I am not home. It breaks my heart that we need to part ways, I feel like I'm stealing someone from our baby's life. She has been a blessing to have work for our family. She has never been late, or unavailable for us when we needed her. She will make a great addition to any family in need of care for their little one.

Debbie has been a part of our lives since our twin daughters were five months old. Somewhere between giving them their bottles and teaching them to write their names, our kids have developed a bond and love for her as deep as that they share with any family member.
 
She shows up. Every day. From the moment she walks in the door until the moment she waves goodbye, the kids have her undivided attention. I have never seen her look at her phone, not once. Debbie has a way with children that I've only seen in Fred Rogers. She commands attention and respect through a kind, gentle strength and a thoughtful engagement that meets them on their level and makes them feel heard and understood.
 
She is passionate about teaching and fostering creativity. Having her in the home is like having an onsite preschool classroom and our children are well ahead of their peers as a result of her teaching experience.

Debbie truly is every parent's wish list for a caregiver to their children. She worked with us for a little over 2 years as our Nanny to our 3 children. We found her on Care.com and simply can't say enough about her talents. Some nannies look at their day to day tasks as caring for children, Debbie takes it much farther by turning your home, neighborhood and surroundings as her classroom. She is safety oriented but manages to keep them engaged in creative projects. Our house always felt completely in control and my children love her. She made use of her weekly 40 hours with our children by teaching them basics as well as taking them for walks daily. Debbie is aware of the needs of the family she works with and just fits in perfectly. At the time we first turned to this site, we had 2 children and a 3rd on the way. We were entertaining the thought of a nanny vs. a daycare center since they were pricing out about the same. When we started considering things like germs, vacation schedules, school closures, cancellations, sick days, other people's bratty children and the hustle of getting everyone out of the house on time, the idea of hiring a nanny seemed pretty appealing. The first thing I remember about Debbie was her calm yet confident demeanor. We would grow to understand where the confidence came from as our time with her certainly proved. She is as close to perfect as parents can ask for. Here is what you can expect. She'll be on time, all the time. If she runs late, you'll receive a call with a full report as to where the traffic accident is and an accurate ETA (estimated time of arrival). She'll love your children and teach them every single day. You'll start to hear songs from them, stories, colors, shapes ( every shape you can think of up to and including the hexagon). They'll learn things like respect for living things, a love for reading, and most importantly the Pledge of Allegiance. She'll take a place in their hearts as an influence, a strength and a kind spirit. She's a child-whisperer of sorts, all while getting their young minds to think for themselves.
Most "nannies" see their role within a family as a safe and comfortable care taker. However, nannies like Debbie see it as an opportunity to give children the emotional and social intelligences that will make them successful in everything the future holds for them. Though Debbie is moving 800 miles from us, she has left our family with the everlasting happiness of having been a part of her classroom. In a word, she's amazing.
