I have been taking care of children for the last 3 years. I am the oldest of six children so I grew up in a household cleaning, cooking and helping my mom with my siblings. I formerly did volunteer work in the nursery at the church where I am a member for a couple of years. I've taken care of newborns, toddlers and school-age children as well as up to 4 children at one time. I would pick-up children from school, assist with homework, run errands, light housekeeping and cooking. I am a loving and caring person who loves to have fun doing activities indoor and outdoor. Our son was born with a cleft lip and palate and suffered from severe acid reflux-all of which made feeding and taking care of him during infancy especially challenging. Debbie was not only able to meet these challenges but was also able to come up with solutions to help make daily life easier for all of us! As J. went through surgeries to correct his lip and palate, Debbie was able to easily adapt to new feeding techniques and provide comfort to him when he was not feeling his best as he healed. For me personally, the most important thing was that J. was always excited to see her! This to me meant that she had developed a trusting relationship with my son and he enjoyed spending time with her. J. was always exceptionally clean and well-groomed when we came in each day. Debbie is a gifted caregiver and person. She is devoted, intuitive and kind. She is able to work in the intimate family environment with integrity and professionalism.
