About Deanna

I have an Associate's degree in Early Childhood and currently working on my Bachelors. I have 17yrs experience as a lead teacher in Child Care and Pre-School settings, working with Infants, Toddlers and 3 and 4-year-olds. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I have also taught yoga to children, ages 5-18 for 6 yrs. I was a GS leader and worked with the same girls from K to 8th grade. I was an asst coach for my daughter's soccer team, working with girls from 2nd grade - 6th grade. I was a PTA board member and ran programs for our school. I moved to OC from Long Island NY in 2012. I have 3 adult children, and 1 grandson. In Maryland, I have been a nanny for 5 different families. I have worked with an only child, twins, twins plus a younger sibling very close in age, and 2 to 4 children at a time depending on who was home; ages ranged from 3-months to 11-years. I enjoy engaging young minds on a more personal level and being able to see them grow. My hobbies are reading and singing.

We are forever grateful to have Deanna work with our twin boys during such a critical time in their development. She is trustworthy, kind, patient, gentle and she has a strong understanding of developmental stages. I was an extremely anxious mother and reluctant to leave my boys with anyone but family until we found Deanna. She was the only one I felt confident enough to have cared for our children. We knew they were in good hands with Deanna and the boys always looked forward to seeing her. It was amazing to see how much they grew with Deanna, she is a gifted teacher and knows how to scaffold children to the next level. As our boys grew, they were increasingly challenging to keep up with and they were never bored with Deanna. She always had fun things for them and she actively engaged them in developmentally enticing activities. Deanna goes above and beyond and is very supportive. We only wish we could have brought her with us when we relocated.
