About Dayna

Dayna is committed to emotional and creative resilience in children. She believes that there is nothing more important in the world today than to nurture the strength of character needed for full expression of one's imagination. Dayna has devoted her life to anchoring the imaginative thought process and unique creative visions of many children through the practice of art making and story-telling. An underpinning for the work is the ability to feel love and respect for one's self. Some may call it heart. The ability to see it/ hear it/ sense it is a first task. Dayna teaches children tools to access this connection. Breath awareness, mindfulness games, movement, playful yoga. Recognizing (seeing) heart leads to 'being" conversant with that place so that it's possible to bring it onto the page, the canvas or into fruition in one's relationships/life.
