About Dawn

My name is Dawn. I'm new to the San Benito area and am a 44-year-old former Special Educator. I left the schools to have a slower paced job where I will truly have time to connect with children. I also spend time helping my elderly mother. I have my Masters in Special Education and have enjoyed caring for kids. I'm patient, punctual, a non-smoker, have my own transportation, and am fine with most pets. My CPR/First Aid certification has lapsed, however I've been trained on it every 1-2 years for over a decade and feel very confident in my skills. I'm unfortunately not bilingual and only know English. I have back problems that limit my ability to frequently carry children, but this can be discussed further. Other jobs I've held are: psychometrist (psychological testing), part-time nanny, infant daycare teacher, respite care worker for child with medically complex needs, special ed assistant K-2, registered behavior tech, homeschool prek teacher, and virtual tutor.
