My most valued traits are kindness, compassionate, reliable & an upbeat disposition. My current experience is w/a lovely lady whom has advanced Alzheimer's & I really enjoy this type of care. It allows for my strengths and accommodates my weaknesses. (blind in one eye) I have decades of experience caring for children and seniors, 3 years of caring for a parent with ALS, 1 year of caring for a parent with dementia, decades of caring for an Aspie. Plus a time in a nursing home so I understand the "why?" & the "why not?" when some folks dare to ask. Great sense of humor and edified in ALZ. I handle personal care w/respect for one's dignity. I have nothing on my record, do not drink, smoke or do drugs. All background checks are pending with CARE. I'm not able to do deep home cleaning, extravagant meals, heavy lifting, never used Hoyer lift (yet). I am 55, semi-retired, absolutely reliable, trustworthy, have common sense & believe in open communication.
