About Davis

Hi! I'm Davis, a first-grade teacher in Kansas City with 5 years of experience at a K-5 charter school. I have a passion for helping kids feel safe, supported, and confident in who they are. During the summer, I offer tutoring, babysitting, and emotional support coaching for kids who may need help expressing their feelings or building social-emotional skills. I was trained in the BIST behavior model, which helps children understand their emotions, solve problems calmly, and expand their emotional vocabulary. I believe there's no such thing as a "bad kid" - just a kid still learning the right tools. I've worked with students across all grade levels and am confident supporting a wide range of needs.
