I am somebody who is responsible and prompt. I am a good babysitter, who plays and interacts with the children that I care for. I also enforce the parent's rules whether I agree with them or not. The family I worked for were a married couple who had a disabled son and a 7-year-old; they were both in school. I was with them part time from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. My duties were to cook, clean, help with homework, and run errands. The children and I had a very good relationship. We took trips to the park and play centers often. This experience helped me to understand the meaning of parenting and allowed me to become a better care provider. It helped me to be comfortable working or being around disabled children as well.
