About Darren

I worked at a Private School for 3 years as a Teachers Assistant, Coach, & Extended Care Coordinator. In that time, I specialized & worked with children who had trouble in the classroom & often acted as the learning resource specialist. I aided children in learning digraphs, vowel patterns, reading, writing, & listening comprehension. I also engaged with the various children & led the class in 1st and 2nd grade regularly and formed close relationships with each of them. I also had the unique ability to bond with them through play & laughter & was able to instill confidence in their abilities and skill sets but also would be able to speak with them informally along with formally to allow and foster growth & learning in the classroom & outside during recess and after school care. I helped various students in the after school program with homework, reading, & team work opportunities. I am proficient in teaching coaching sports (primarily Basketball, Soccer, flag football, & dodgeball)
