About Darrah

I am an early childhood educator. I have my associates degree in early childhood education. I have been working with children for over 20 years babysitting, volunteering, working as a daycare teacher and as a nanny. I have many families I have helped caring for their children and doing anything that might help them around the house. I'm great at providing and finding age appropriate activities for children including babies. I can share many ideas for any family who is interested. Because I am currently employed full time, I'm looking for any occasional extra hours on the weekend.

My wife and I are wedding photographers in Western Massachusetts. One of our couples was getting married up in Waterford Maine, and being that it was a bit a hike for us we decided to bring our RV up and our 3 year old toddler with us. We had one provider lined up but a week out from the wedding she canceled on us last minute. In came Darrah to save the day. She was prompt, responsive, promised she'd have no problem being there, asked us a ton of questions about our son and what he liked, and even asked if we'd like to meet her a couple days before so we could feel better before rushing off to shoot the wedding. The day of she brought tons of crafts and things to do with him, and she kept us updated throughout the day with texts and pictures. At the end of the night when he was asleep she sent over a detailed list of everything they did together, the food he ate, etc. Our son continues to talk about Darrah and all the fun things they did together, if only she lived closer!
