About Darlene

I worked with Darlene for the past 2 years and it is with great appreciation that I share a glowing review of the exceptional care she provided a very special Alzheimer’s patient. What stood out the most is the special attention she gave her to look her best. Darlene always took extra time dressing her, always including jewelry and making her hair look “done.” These small but meaningful gestures made her feel extra special especially when they went out in the community. Beyond the daily routines, Darlene constantly went above and beyond in providing thoughtful attentive care. She would provide a calm, loving, confident and firm presence when our patient experienced moments of confusion. Her presence created a sense of comfort and safety that both the patient and family appreciated. Darlene’s professional background in nursing was the reason why she initially was hired for the position, but it was her special love and attention that separated her from the others. I was a friend of the patient who turned into a caregiver and I learned a great deal from Darlene. Because of Darlene’s dedication and genuine compassion. She made a difficult journey much more peaceful and dignified for everyone involved. Anyone would be fortunate to have someone with her level of fun, enthusiasm, heart, professionalism, and devotion caring for their loved one! ❤️
