About Darlene

I tutor elementary spelling, reading, writing, language arts, phonics, speaking skills & grammar. I tutor students w/ Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, ADD, ADHD, autism spectrum, Down Syndrome, Asperger, & other physical disabilities & students with no disabilities. More than 12 yrs experience. I have patience to teach & reteach different ways to help students comprehend concepts better. I use a combination of activities, discussion, hands-on materials. I work with the student's learning style. I tutor pre-k, kindergarten, elementary, junior high school, high school & adult learners. I also have experience in public speaking skills. I work with students adults to build confidence to speak in front of small large groups. I teach life skills, including resume writing, proofreading, executive function, English as a second language & time management.
