I've been working in senior living since 2023. I worked at Brandywine Senior Living in Potomac (which has a dementia care village) and Friends House, a non-profit with independent living, comprehensive care, a rehab center, and assisted living. I'm a certified caregiver trained at both of these senior living facilities. I abide by HIPAA compliance. While working at brandywine, I was responsible for safety, reported changes or declines in health, arranged transportation to and from appointments, helped with mail management, brought and retrieved meals to and from resident rooms, monitored and responded to emergency healthcare pendant calls, and I did activities to stimulate mental acuity for residents like exercise, dance, and games.
