My current job will end Friday, February 27, 2026. Then I will become available. 
I am fully vaccinated including the 10 year Tdap vaccine that I received on 12-7-2023. My background is in Infant and Child Care. I enjoy preparing healthy meals for children and light child related housework (child's laundry and dishes) as well as reading, playing games, art, music, trips to local parks and the Sacramento Zoo. My fee is $20-$23 per hour. Please know that I understand what it means to be a compassionate and attentive caregiver. My passion is to provide nurturing, high quality and developmentally appropriate care. Providing peace of mind for families that their loved ones are well cared for is very important to me. One of my passions is volunteering for SSPCA and the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. Last, but not least, I love music, nature, animals, bugs and insects, too!

Writing this on November 5, 2025. It is a privilege to share with you our relationship with Darcy, our Nanny since 2023. Darcy cared for our two children from the time they were 6 months old until they were about 1½, and we feel so fortunate to have had her as part of our family during that time. She is incredibly reliable, warm, and flexible — always showing up with a positive attitude and genuine care for our kids.

Darcy created a calm, nurturing environment where our children thrived. She was patient, kind, and always willing to help with whatever was needed. We trusted her completely and appreciated how attentive and thoughtful she was each day.

Any family would be lucky to have Darcy as their nanny. She truly became a wonderful part of our children’s early years, and we can’t recommend her highly enough.

Darcy has been a great nanny, our daughter loves her. She took our daughter to do many exciting things. She also took care of many things around our house. I highly recommend her! 

Darcy has been our outstanding nanny for the past year. She is the ultimate Mary Poppins! She has taken such good care of our sweet little feral two year old daughter. She has taught her manners, taken her on educational adventures, to the zoo, to the museum and wonderful parks. She is a great communicator and listener, and really partners together with you when it comes to raising your little one. She has a lot of knowledge about children and you can tell! My daughter gets so excited when she sees Darcy pull up. It’s the first nanny we’ve had where my daughter doesn’t cry upon arrival. My daughter is going to go to preschool, otherwise we would keep Darcy forever! You are one lucky family if you get Darcy. We will miss her terribly, but we will stay in contact forever because my daughter is so attached to her. 

We have had Darcy as our daughter's part time nanny for over 2 years. She is absolutely amazing! She takes our daughter to the park, does arts and crafts with her, teaches her the 123s and ABCs, works on her manners, sings and reads to her, and helped with potty training. Darcy is an outstanding care giver, and I wish my daughter wasn't going off to school so I could keep her. I can truly say my daughter is a better child because of her time with Darcy, and I recommend her to everyone.

Darcy has been with our family for 2 plus years and has been an amazing caregiver for our daughter.  Darcy is very active and involved in our daughters playing and learning.  She is very reliable, hardworking, and kind.  From the moment I met her,  she felt like apart of the family.  I would highly recommend her for any position.

Darcy has cared for my husband with dementia frequently within the last few months. From her first visit my husband and I both felt immediately comfortable with Darcy due to her enthusiasm and professional manner. She is kind and intuitive about her client's needs and comes up with creative and fun ways to engage my husband. She and shows high level skills in her care from meal preparation, sleep, hygiene and exercise requirements.. Darcy offered to read out loud, which no care giver has ever offered on their own, and she even brought magazines that she felt my husband would enjoy! I highly recommend Darcy for any care giving needs. Darcy immediately felt like part of our family and my husband always looks forward to seeing her.

After interviewing what seemed like dozens of applicants, Darcy impressed us right away with establishing a connections with our (then) 3 year old twins during the interview! It is interesting that many caregivers will ignore the kids or greet them perfunctorily rather than taking the time to really exemplify becoming a part of the family. 

Darcy has a wonderful sense of humor and a playful and lighthearted way with the kids while being subtly structured with creative activities and fun role plays. She is like a chef who could look in your pantry where you thought you had nothing to eat and make a gourmet meal, only with entertaining and taking care of the children. We easily hand over the keys to our house to Darcy. Her integrity and amiability engender immediate trust and respect. Every hour she spends with our kids makes us feel like our kids come out of the time having learned a skill and become more emotionally and socially intelligent.

Darcy is AMAZING.  She truly understands how to relate to kids.  She doesn't get impatient.  She's firm but calm and loving.  She immediately came up with nicknames for our twins and my kids love her.  She brings over craft projects and keeps the kids active.  She's a warm, kind person and we adore her.  I highly recommend Darcy.

We interviewed Darcy and actually hired her to start nannying for us part time starting in October. Unexpectedly, a week later, we got off the wait list at the daycare associated with my work. Although this was a better option for our family financially and schedule-wise, we were really sad because we absolutely loved Darcy. Our 9 month old was immediately drawn to her. Not only did Darcy have such extensive knowledge and experience in child development, but she is such a warm and energetic person. She has so many wonderful attributes - she is responsible, trustworthy, creative, and easy to talk to. Furthermore, Darcy was so kind and the utmost professional when we had the change in our childcare situation. She will be our first call whenever we have childcare needs in the evenings or weekends. We cannot recommend Darcy highly enough!

Interviewed with Darcy and she was great!!  Our needs changed mid-process, but had they not, we would have used Darcy in a heartbeat.

Darcy is phenomenal!  I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a dedicated and caring child care provider who is committed to helping kids become respectful, polite, and independent children.  Our kids love Darcy (and we do, too)!

We first met Darcy when she was a teacher at our preschool. More recently, we have employed Darcy in our home to care for our 2 boys (ages 3 and 5). We have known Darcy for over a year. 
Darcy is a nurturing and generous caregiver; she is like another grandmother in our family. She provides structure and boundaries while having fun and being playful. Darcy drives our car to take the boys to the library and playground. Our boys thrive under her care. When she is with our children and in our home, I truly believe the welfare of our boys is her priority. We all adore her!
Also, Darcy is professional and always prompt. She communicates effectively and is direct in her manner. She is very kind and thoughtful. We are moving out-of-state; otherwise we would employ Darcy for as long as she would have us! We recommend her wholeheartedly.

We have known Darcy for about 15 years & during that time have found her to be honest, friendly, open, supportive, helpful, enthusiastic, dependable, resourceful, empathetic, social, trustworthy & a great sense of humor.
