About Darcy

I'm a compassionate and dependable 25-year-old nursing student graduating this spring, with a strong passion for caring for children and supporting families. I have experience working one-on-one with both neurotypical children and children on the autism spectrum, where I developed patience, clear communication, and the ability to adapt to each child's unique needs. For three years, I provided consistent one-on-one care for a child with severe special needs, assisting with daily routines, behavior support, communication goals, and sensory regulation. This experience strengthened my ability to remain calm under pressure, read nonverbal cues, and create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. With a background in behavioral therapy and personal caregiving, I'm attentive, reliable, and empathetic. As I prepare to begin my nursing career in May, I'm excited to continue providing compassionate, trustworthy care and supporting families with confidence.
