About Darcy

Nurturing young hearts/minds and supporting families is a passion of mine. I have three years of experience caring for children other than my own, including running a before/after school program, as well as raising two sons now in college. Becoming an empty-nester has prompted me to supplement my work with my small family business, and continue my work with families. I hold a degree in Psychology and have completed some Early Child Development Coursework. My approach is patient, calm, caring, and consistent, and I enjoy books, music, art, pets, playing outdoors, and games. I am interested in caring for one child at a time, possibly two. I'm happy to help with cooking, light housekeeping, carpooling, travel, and swimming supervision. I follow a parent's lead when it comes to communication preferences and household rules, with that balance of safety and exploration. I am excited to partner with your family and create a fun, safe, and enriching environment for your child!
