I started babysitting at the age of 12, around the neighborhood and my parents friends kids. I also watched dogs around the neighborhood when people were at work or out of town. My first real babysitting job was when I was 14 for a friend of my moms, she had a 13-month-old girl and a 6-year-old son, I always wondered who would trust a 14-year-old with two kids! But she knew I was responsible and caring enough to take great care of her kids, and I did. After that I did some random date night babysitting for family friends, until two years ago I started to babysit my neighbor often. They have a 4-year-old boy, a 6-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl. I would feed the kids diner and put them to bed, once in a while I gave the girl volleyball lessons. At this time I was a senior in high school, on the volleyball team and my favorite class that year was being the teacher assistant for the special education class. Half the time I was going around helping the students with whatever they were working on that day and the other half of the time I was teaching the class their daily lessons. It was a great experience and taught me a lot about patience and how to care for the disabled.
