About Dara

I'd describe my personality as friendly, adaptable and patient. I like tutoring because it has always felt natural to me. It brings me so much joy to watch young learners discover new skills & learn. I'm looking for a job that allows me to support students with patience, positivity, and clear communication. I want to be able to create a learning environment that helps students build confidence and skills at their own pace. I started teaching as a paraeducator (this job uses tutoring skills on a daily basis), over 15 years ago. In my spare time, I like to read books, play with my cat, craft and hang out with my family. One thing you should know about me is I used to travel a lot. My skills include: teach small groups in reading, writing and math, flexible, on time, problem solver, friendly, adaptable, and strong communication.
